With the first confirmed Covid-19 (Corona Virus) case in Mercer County, we wanted to update everyone on the changes that we have made to our business operations. The health and safety of our community, our clients, patients and team members is our top priority! We have already put HOURLY cleaning protocols in place for our most-used surfaces using our MEDICAL GRADE DISINFECTANT. Our staff has already received hygiene protocol refresher training in preparation for positive cases in our community. We have been practicing social distancing when possible. With all of these proactive changes in place, we must now make changes to our daily operations that protect the health and well-being of everyone without causing a pet who needs help to go without veterinary care.
Beginning on Thursday, March 19, 2020 our clinic will remain "open" but will only be offering CARSIDE veterinary services to all of our clients. Upon arrival at our clinic, please call or text our main phone number (304-425-9944) and we will dispatch a technician to your vehicle to bring your pet inside for needed services. Our veterinarians will communicate with you by phone as much as necessary and be sure to answer all of your questions. After a written estimate is given to you and treatment is complete, our technicians will then bring your pet back out to your vehicle and complete your payment. If you chose, you may call our main phone number to complete your payment.
If you have an EMERGENCY or are in any way concerned about your pet and are unsure if it needs to be seen by our veterinarians, please call or text our main phone number. You may include PICTURES with your text message to help us triage your pet's needs. No diagnosis, treatment or prescriptions will be given without an examination, but we will advise you if your pet needs to be brought to our clinic.
If you are feeling sick AT ALL, please arrange to have someone else bring your pet to our clinic! Additionally, we are offering our PET TAXI for pet pickups and dropoffs. As a community service, we are WAIVING ALL FEES for our Taxi Service during this challenging time! This service will be available on a first come, first served basis. Yes, you read that right- we will pick up your pet and drop it back off to you for FREE!!!
To help calm fears of contagions, we'd like to share the following statement from the AMERICAN VETERINARY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION: "COVID-19 transmission primarily occurs when there is contact with an infected person’s bodily secretions, such as saliva or droplets from a cough or sneeze. Transmission might be possible by touching a contaminated surface or object (i.e., a fomite) and then touching the mouth, nose, or possibly eyes, but this appears to be a secondary route. In addition, smooth (non-porous) surfaces (e.g., countertops, door knobs) seem to transmit better than porous materials (e.g., paper money, pet fur). So it is much less likely that you would be infected by touching a client’s pet."
We vow to remain accessible for our clients during this crisis and look forward to the day when our businesses, our lives and our community can return to normal! Please LIKE our Facebook page and watch for more updates as they become available!
"Trust, Peace of Mind and Great Hours...
That's My Vet!"
Our purpose is for our clients to rest assured that they and their pets are in the most capable,
caring hands every time, anytime. Since its founding with 5 employees in February 2001, All Creatures Veterinary Clinic, Inc.
has grown phenomenally to employ 25 staff members – moving to our current 6,000 sq. ft.
facility in 2010. Our service theme, “Trust, Peace of Mind, and Great Hours . . . That’s MY Vet”
is the result of a survey of our clients. Through our commitment to taking the time to focus
on providing the most comprehensive care for each patient, we’ve won the confidence of our
clients who overwhelmingly refer friends and family to us daily.
We recognize that our clients
include not only pet owners, but veterinarians, employees, volunteers and rescue
organizations. Ultimately, our vision is to make All Creatures a place where owners go for
exceptional care, veterinarians prefer to practice, employees love to work and the people
helping animals can continue.
A full spectrum of service offerings from radiowave surgery to an advanced diagnostic suite
complete with ultrasonography and digital x-ray, allow veterinarians and staff to work
together to provide patient-centered care with the compassion that has become our
reputation. Our strong community involvement is further evidence of our passion.
